Every result on MiraNight is built around the face and body in the photo you upload. The style provides the scene; your photo provides the person. So the quality of the result is decided before you press anything, by the photo itself. This page explains what to look for.
The rules are simple: one person, a clearly visible face, even light, and a file that is not blurred or heavily filtered. A photo that meets these four points usually gives a convincing result on the first attempt.
The face is what the model works from most, so it should be sharp, fully visible and facing the camera or close to it. Sunglasses, a hand over the mouth, a hat brim shadow or hair across the eyes all remove information and lower the likeness.
Even daylight or a well-lit room is better than a single lamp from the side or a bright window behind the person. Strong backlight turns the face into a silhouette; harsh flash flattens it. Soft, frontal light keeps skin tone and features accurate.
Most styles work from a half-body photo, roughly from the hips up, where the face is still large in the frame. Styles that involve the legs or a standing pose give better results with a full-body photo. Each style page says which framing it prefers.
Keep one person in the frame. If two people are visible, the model may pick the wrong one or blend features. Crop the photo first if you need to.
JPG or PNG, up to 20 MB. A normal phone photo is more than enough; a very large file is not better, it only uploads more slowly. Screenshots of a photo, photos of a screen, and heavily compressed images lose detail that the face needs.
Beauty filters, smoothing and AI touch-ups work against you: they remove the small details that make the face recognisable. The original, unedited photo gives the closest match.
If the face is off, the usual cause is the input photo: too small a face, a turned head, poor light or a filter. Try a different photo before trying a different style. If the pose is off, check the framing the style page recommends.
